UEF Presidency Meeting, October 2012, Madrid

The two day meeting of the UEF Presidency took place in Madrid during the period 29^th and 30^th of October 2012.

Main important topics discussed were the financial matters and the need for rise of membership fees from 1,00 € to 1,20 € per member.

Communication matters were also a topic of in-depth talks. The necessity of signing of contract with the present web-master of the homepage was underlined.

The possibility for creation of a Facebook UEF corner was also discussed.

The forthcoming XVIII^th Congress of the Union in Saariselkä, Finland, 27-31^st August 2013 was discussed in details. The programme was presented by the UEF President - Håkan Nystrand and reviewed by the rest of the Presidency members.

Another important issue was the Election Rules. It was decided that the Vice President Michel Diemer will prepare the final version of the Rules that to be sent to member organizations together with the First Announcement for the Congress.

The matters at the EU and European level as well as the process of development of the UEF History book were also widely discussed.

The next Presidency meeting was postponed for the beginning of the following year – March 2013, in Brussels.
