A chance to influence EU Forestry Policy

UEF involved in proposals to the Forestry Action Plan At the 16th UEF Congress in Germany (June 2005) Marius Lazdinis from the European Commission spoke about the Forestry Action Plan 2007-2013 on Sustainable Forest Management, and he urged the members of UEF to take part in the discussions and bring forward proposals to this Action Plan, which the European countries will probably adopt in June 2006.
As you can see from the invitation to a European Conference on the Forest-based Sector taking place in Nancy, France on 2-3 February 2006, the Greater Nancy Urban Community has taken the initiative to assemble important players from the European Forestry scene to discuss and agree upon proposals to the Forestry Action Plan.At the conference UEF President Haakan Nystrand has been given the role of leading the summary of proposals for the Forestry Action Plan, and the Presidency of UEF urges the members to attend the conference to influence the EU Forestry Policy in a multifunctional and sustainable direction.
